Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 25, 2026
Onssite ("we", "us", "our") provides field-crew management software for electrical and construction businesses, including GPS clock-in, timesheets and payroll preparation, document signing, and job-plan viewing. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to onssite.com and the Onssite applications.
Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account details: name, email address, phone number, and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Company and worker records: job classification, wage information, safety certifications, and crew assignments entered by company administrators.
- Work data: clock-in/out times, timesheets, job sites, materials, and documents you create or upload.
Information collected automatically
- Location data at the moment of clock-in/out, used to verify a worker is at the assigned job site. We capture a single coordinate at that event; we do not track continuous or background location.
- Basic technical/log data such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps for security and reliability.
How We Use Google User Data
Google Drive access. If you choose to connect Google Drive, Onssite requests the drive.file scope only. This scope lets the app access only the specific files and folders you open or create with Onssite. We cannot see, list, or access any other files in your Google Drive.
We use this access solely to let your team view linked job plans and to store documents you generate within the app. We do not use Google Workspace APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
Limited Use disclosure
Onssite's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, we:
- only use Google user data to provide and improve the features you request;
- do not transfer or sell Google user data for advertising, marketing, or other unrelated purposes;
- do not allow humans to read your Google data unless you give explicit consent, it is necessary for security or to comply with law, or the data is aggregated and anonymized for internal operations; and
- do not use Google user data to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
How We Use Your Information
- To operate core features: clock-in verification, timesheets, payroll preparation, scheduling, document signing, and plan viewing.
- To send transactional messages such as account invitations, password setup links, and payroll or document notifications.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- within your own company's account, with administrators and foremen who manage your crew;
- with service providers who help us operate the platform (e.g. email and SMS delivery), under confidentiality obligations;
- when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal, payroll, and recordkeeping requirements. Signed documents delivered to your designated payroll address are removed from our active systems after delivery, with only completion status retained. You may request deletion of your data as described below.
Your Choices & Rights
- You can review and update your profile information in the app.
- You can disconnect Google Drive at any time from the app settings or from your Google Account permissions page; this revokes our drive.file access.
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.
Security
We protect your information using industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, scoped access tokens, and role-based access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and respond promptly to any issues.
Children's Privacy
Onssite is a workplace tool intended for use by adults in their employment. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate.
